Headaches, double vision
- I originally went to my pediatrician in Feb for migraines, but because they were in a strange area (the back of my head) she decided to do an MRI just to be safe. The next thing I know im getting a followup MRI with contrast this time, and they tell me theres definitely something wrong bc I have several lesions. almost the next day I wake up with double vision which led to hospitalization, a spinal tap, and a diagnosis in june of the same year.

worried
- There is a good chance I am being a hypochondriac. But, nonetheless, I've been dealing with minor to moderate breathing problems for months and am on the verge of finally seeing a lung specialist. However the other night my pinkies started feeling asleep and tingling like crazy, vibrating like a gong. Tapping under my tricep intensified this quite a bit. My tongue for a split second had a tingle to it, and my genitalia had a tingling sensation for 10 seconds a few months ago. None of it is stuff I couldn't just deal with but... I am very concerned this could be the very beginning of MS. My aunt has it, otherwise I wouldn't even consider it. Losing my parents insurance soon and not knowing if I will be able to find my own that will cover me with symptoms already detailed to a doctor has me scared out of my mind.

Awaiting Diagnosis
- I was referred to a neurologist after noticing that a slight tremor I have had for many years had recently gotten worse. I was diagnosed with Intention Tremor and sent for an MRI. The MRI showed white matter lesions and a growth in my eye. The docs are considering MS but want to resolve the eye problem first. I had an episode of probable optic neuritis about 3 years ago and have problems with memory, slowed speech, concentration problems, double vision, and urinary issues. It all seems to fit. I'm hoping for a diagnosis soon so I can get on with my life.

First symptom leading to diagnosis
- For several years I went to doctors to find out why I had severe night sweats. These were not due to menopause. Then I had a sudden loss of hearing in my right ear and tinnitus. A few months later, optic neuritis with visual field loss (60 % in left eye). This led to a final dx of MS. (I had prior diagnoses, which turned out to be false) of stress, menopause, chronic fatigue, Valley Fever, Lyme, acoustic neuroma, and sarcoidosis. Spinal tap normal, but MRI showed the lesions.

Please help
- It all started in June 2008 I was sitting outside and all of a sudden I felt a pop near my heart. That night I rushed to the hospital and thought that i was having a stroke. Then sudden episodes of vertigo for months. Then in Feb.2009 I started to get a twitch on my left cheek and that was associated with vertigo, and burning sensation on the left side of my face. That lasted for 2 weeks .I went to the hospitl and they told me that it was stress. The twitch finally went away but now its back again.I had an MRI done but without the IV that they inject and they say I have nothing.I don't know what to do anymore. Please help.

MS Symptoms and early diagnosis
- I am 44 years old and was diagnosed a year ago...unfortunately I've has MS for much longer...2 years prior I was found unconsious and because I was taking Xanax, i was rushed to hospital and treated for overdose. When i was revived, i was paralyzed in my right arm...I experiences burning and tingling in all my limbs for several months..My arm recovered and the tingling went away...then electrical shocks evertime i took a step shot thoughout my body...saw a nuerologist who said it might be MS...he did an MRI and saw many lesions but also noticed bulging disks pressing against my spinal cord...I was also having problems urinating. He sent me to a neurosurgeon who said all my issues were caused by disks...he did surgery and replaced 3 disks and fusedd a plate on my vertibrae. Post Op I had and continue to have very limited mobility in neck and limited range of maotion....not unitl I had optic pain and neuritis did my Neourl. diagnose me with MS. Get diagnosed ASAP if you can.

CHECK YOUR B12!!!
- Anyone experiencing MS symptoms but told they do not have MS should really check that they do not have a B12 deficiancy. it has the same symptoms and can be fixed over time. Even ones with MS have a greater risk of having a B12 deficiancy, it is linked along with MS and Vitamin D def.

Get tested for Lyme!!!
- There is this little bacteria called Borellia Burgdorferi and it's many co-infections that causes all these symptoms. You need to test for Lyme thru a reliable lab, such as Igenenx (1-800-832-3200). Call and they will send you a free testing kit. Then after it comes back positive, you will need months of IV therapy. I know it sounds crazy, but after 15 years of these symptoms, and nearly a year of IV, I haven't felt this good in years!

Re: Need Answers
- If all of the testing for fibro is leading to nothing, I would insist that your daughter have a brain scan done to see if there are lesions present. I just got diagnosed with MS after about 8 months - my doctor went right for the brain scan (and spinal tap) and bingo! Lesions may not even be present, but if she is still having symptoms keep getting the scans! don't think because you don't see anything the first time that you can exclude it as a possiblity. Good luck to her and you all!

Need Answers
- I am looking for answers - my daughter is 17 and has been sick for over a year and we can not get a diagnosis. At the present time she is having a hard time sleeping, hand tremors, blurred vision and heaviness of the legs. She can only walk for 30 min. at a time and then needs to sit. She has had paralysis of the lower legs that last from minutes to one hour. We have had her tested for Lupus, RA, Lukemia, Lyme Disease. They also looked at Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia and many others but have come up with nothing. Her symptoms have changed over the past year. Some come and go and others stay all the time for the most part. I just don't know what to do for her and where to turn. If anybody can help me I would appreciate it. Oh she also had a nerve conduction test and that came up fine. Go figure! I hope to hear from somebody soon as she will be 18 in October and we will be losing her insurance and God knows we will not be able to get new insurance with all of this pre-existing.

do i have ms?
- i have been having the most unusual symptoms for the last three months. I have chronic stabbing chest pain that radiates through my shoulders and arms. Sometimes it feels like a hot fire poker is stabbing me in al differnt parts of my body. The strangest symptom is the burning sensations that i get all over my body, particularly scary is the brain burning sensation. I have seen many doctors. Including neurologist. He doesn't think it is MS. I had MRI of brain, cervical and thoracic spine. and EP testing. No lesions however, i have bulging discs in my cervical and herniated disc pressing on my spinal cord in thoracic spine. Doctor thinks this could be responsible for the pain but not the burning. He has not recommended lumbar puncture...I don't know what to do
