Optic Neuritis as a Symptom of Multiple Sclerosis

You've probably heard of optic neuritis. If you have multiple sclerosis (MS), there is even a good chance that you have had a bout of optic neuritis, as it affects up to 50 percent people with MS. The main symptoms of optic neuritis are: pain when moving the eyes, absence of color in viewed objects and blurring or blank spots in the visual field.
While it usually resolves either on its own or (more quickly) after a big ol' dose of Solu-Medrol, there are often mild residual effects on the vision.
