numbness fatigue

I began having numbness around 6/30/09 toes, then to waist upto chest then hands, went to chiro, thought maybe it was nutritional, so went to doctor, he said stress and anxiety because i have a history, i knew it was something more, went for an mri, abnormal possibility of ms, grandmother has it, waiting to see a neurologist, looking back i had an episode of slight dizzieness, headache, emotional problems that led to agoraphobia for about 2 months, vague various symptoms, urinary, bowel, fatigue, memory, dont know if it all points to ms or just lifes stress's very scared about what's going to happen next, would love to talk to someone that can relate belarae@hotmail.com

Ms, Chronic Daily Headaches and Diabetes

I am 36 Yrs old, I was dx. wit MS in 2003! Finally after yrs, of complaining of headaches that never goes away! I was recently dx. with diabetes(insulin dependent) I am scared to death! I havent been able to get my bloodsugars undercontrol since i was dx. 2wks ago! I always have had dizziness and extreme fatigue from having ms. along with the headaches. I am often treated like a drug seeker for my headaches that turn into migraines atleast 2xs a month! Even though I have a bag full of pills that are not helping me! I have a bulging disc in me neck! that may also be the cause of my headaches. I have lost my hear and my vision in one eye at one point! I have been told that there was nothing else they could do for me! Which is surprising! when You consider that there are many drugs and treatment that they havent even tried! mostly non narcotic! I am desperate and tired of being in pain! Oh! did I mention that I also have arthritis! Is there anyone out there with these problem? please help

Still waiting

Last December I discovered I had Optic Neurosis. This has lead to various tests, Brain MRI, Evoked Potentials, Blood tests. I had a 3 day course of Solu Medrol, but it hasnt really helped my eye. Tomorrow I am to have another MRI of my brain and spine with gladolium. My Neurologist has said that if these tests prove inconclusive, I will need a lumbar puncture - but I have declined this. I was told on my first brain MRI that I have several non-specific lesions?? Has anyone else had this

Doctors Split on Diagnosis

1980 diagnosed w transverse myelitis. Cortisone resolved paralysis on 1 side, pain on the other. 4 years ago odd stretching sensation began bottom of feet. Turned into pain; now like walking on hot coals w toes spasms. Had MRIs and spinal tap. First neuro said MS. I didn't question. While searching for a neuro who was a "better fit" I was surprised to find that some neuros were sure, some tentative about the MS diagnosis, and 1 definitively said "You do NOT have MS, those lesions were from 80. Keep looking." Bisphosphonate drug (Actonel) may be culprit. Pain continues to travel upwards. Now in knees and stomach and new odd sensations in my "saddle area" (tiggling in the private places) and a feeling I'm wearing clothes when I have none on. Completely debilitating pain now. I've tried all neuropathic pain meds w intolerable side effects & no relief. Confused. Desperate for relief. Read about LDN with interest. Julie, does LDN work with pain? SOS

Waiting and Praying

Last year during the holidays I went out with friends. I had several cocktails but knew I had to go to work in the morning so not too much. When I woke up the next morning I felt fine. I went to work and about two hours in I suddenly felt like my left side weighed a million pounds and I was off balance. I thought maybe I drank more than I thought and this was some really weird hang over. So I thought sleep would make it better. I got a good nites sleep that nite thinking all would be well by morning. But the next day still the same. Walking down the halls at work seemed like a chore. I couldnt feel the bottom of my feet and I felt really off balance not dizzy just like I couldn't tell left from right. Over the next few weeks syptoms piled on but I didn't know what it was. I finally went to my doctor and she referred me to a neurologist they did the MRI and some light test thingy. My hand went completely numb while I was at work it was scary.Still waiting for results

Having multiple symptoms & MRI next week

I have been having a lot of symptoms (weakness/numbness in legs, some loss of hearing and eyesight, pain etc...) for some time but it wasn't until my face/head went numb and I started having severe dizzy spells with "lose" of words when speaking that the Doctor finally "seemed" to believe something was going on. I am having an MRI next week June 2009. The fatigue is getting worse and being a single mom with kids still at home it is getting difficult to function. This might sound strange to a lot of people but please pray for me and I will for you.

Years of symptoms

My symptoms began when I was 18, a weakness in my legs and a numb spot on my face. After 30 years of hearing it was all in my head, I was diagnosed when I had a bout of optic neuritus and and trouble walking. I am now over 60 and my symptoms still change with every flareup. I was tested for Lyme disease and a hundred other various ailments before finally getting a positive diagnosis.

Headaches, double vision

I originally went to my pediatrician in Feb for migraines, but because they were in a strange area (the back of my head) she decided to do an MRI just to be safe. The next thing I know im getting a followup MRI with contrast this time, and they tell me theres definitely something wrong bc I have several lesions. almost the next day I wake up with double vision which led to hospitalization, a spinal tap, and a diagnosis in june of the same year.

worried

There is a good chance I am being a hypochondriac. But, nonetheless, I've been dealing with minor to moderate breathing problems for months and am on the verge of finally seeing a lung specialist. However the other night my pinkies started feeling asleep and tingling like crazy, vibrating like a gong. Tapping under my tricep intensified this quite a bit. My tongue for a split second had a tingle to it, and my genitalia had a tingling sensation for 10 seconds a few months ago. None of it is stuff I couldn't just deal with but... I am very concerned this could be the very beginning of MS. My aunt has it, otherwise I wouldn't even consider it. Losing my parents insurance soon and not knowing if I will be able to find my own that will cover me with symptoms already detailed to a doctor has me scared out of my mind.
