I recently spoke at a meeting of the team captains of one of the MS 150 bike rides of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
. I told them a little about some cool MS research directions (I focused on my favorites: Glucosamine
and Worm Soup
) and what it was like to have MS, and I cried a little at the end. Then I went home and I cried a whole lot. Not because I have MS, but because I really couldn't believe all those people were out there who were interested in MS...and didn't even have it themselves.
There are so many individuals and organizations devoted to helping us -- people with MS. Whether it is by funding research, providing information, or serving people directly, there is more support out there than most of us are aware of. I wanted to give you just a glimpse of just ten of these organizations, so that you could see for yourself. It's amazing and we are lucky.
